
What Dishes Can Be Made In An OTG Oven?

Here are some sumptuous recipes that you can make using an OTG:
Recipe 1: Crispy onion fritters:
Ingredients
- 3 thinly sliced onions
- 1/2 cup besan
- 1/4 cup rice flour
- 3 tablespoons oil
- Green chillies finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
- 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/4 teaspoon chaat masala
- Salt to taste
How to make it?
In a mixing bowl, combine besan, rice flour, 2 tablespoons oil, green chillies, red chilli powder, coriander powder and salt. Add warm water (2 to 3 tablespoons) to make the batter smooth. Make sure there are no lumps. Now coat the onions. On a baking tray, place parchment paper. Now, place a tablespoon of onion batter on the parchment paper. Preheat the oven to 200-degree celsius and bake the fritters for 15 minutes. Brush the fritters with oil and bake them for another 5 minutes or until they are golden brown. Serve hot with ketchup or mint chutney.
Recipe 2: Veg cutlet:
Ingredients
- 2 to 3 small potatoes
- 2 to 3 carrots
- Beans
- Green peas
- Finely chopped green chillies
- 1/4 garam masala
- 1/4 tsp coriander powder
- Salt
How to make it?
In a pressure cooker, put all the vegetables and cook until everything is soft. Mash the vegetables well. Add coriander powder, garam masala, red chilli, green chillies and salt as per taste. Add breadcrumbs and make small patties. To make them crispy, dip them in a batter made of rice flour. Preheat the oven to 200-degree Celsius and bake for 10 minutes or until they turn golden brown. Serve it with ketchup or mint chutney.
Recipe 3: Molten lava cake:
Ingredients
- 1/2 come chocolate (semi-sweet)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour (maida)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs
- 2 large egg yolks
How to make it?
You can use 6 small ramekins or a muffin tray. Coat ramekins with oil. Melt chocolate and keep it aside. In a mixing bowl, mix maida, sugar and salt together. In another bowl, whisk the eggs and egg yolks together until combined. Mix the flour mixture, eggs and melted chocolate. Stir everything together using a spatula. Make sure that there are no lumps. Do not whisk too fast. Pour batter into each ramekin and bake them for 12 to 15 minutes until the sides appear to be firm. If you are using a muffin tray, it will take only 10 minutes. Allow to cool for a few minutes and then place each cake upside down on plates.
