So, without further ado, here is a step-by-step guide to make green peas chutney using a mixer grinder:
Step 1: For the green peas chutney, put the shelled green peas in a bowl and wash them properly. You can also use frozen green peas. Take a small bunch of coriander leaves and wash them thoroughly. Remove all the roots and damaged parts. Wash coriander two to three times to ensure that they are clean.
Step 2: Now, in the mixer grinder jar, put the washed green peas, coriander leaves, 2 garlic cloves and one small piece of ginger. Also, add one green chilli. If you like your chutney to be spicier, you can add more green chillies.
Step 3: Add the juice of one whole lemon. This gives the chutney a tangy and sour taste and at the same time, helps it retain a bright green colour.
Step 4: You can also add ¼ tbsp sugar – for a sweet and tangy taste. Now, add salt as per your taste. Add ¼ cup water and blend all the ingredients together. Run the mixer grinder until the chutney is smooth.
Step 5: Pour the chutney in an airtight container. When stored in a refrigerator, this chutney can be used for 2 to 3 days.
Step 6: Garnish it with coriander and then serve it with the snack of your choice! Serve it to your guests and let the compliments roll in.
