How to make kheer in a jiffy using an electric kettle
With our electric kettles, you can not only make kheer but also prepare oatmeal, pasta, rice and other delicacies.
Here is an easy and quick kheer recipe that you can make using an electric kettle:
Step 1: To start with, first gather all the fresh ingredients – rice, sugar, milk, water, ghee, almond, cashew, raisins and saffron.
Step 2: Clean the rice with water thoroughly. Then soak the rice in water for half an hour. Now, pour milk instead of water in the electric kettle carefully. Strain the rice with a sieve or a strainer and once the milk begins to boil, add the rice into the electric kettle.
Step 3: Then pour some more milk and water into the electric kettle. Add sugar and let the milk boil till the consistency becomes thicker. Instead of sugar, you can also add jaggery.
Step 4: Keep stirring the ingredients continuously with a wooden spoon and don’t let them stick to the bottom. Pick some rice grains from the kheer and check whether they are cooked completely. Now when the rice is soft and cooked, check the taste and adjust as per your choice. If you feel, you can add some sugar and make it sweeter.
Step 5: Now, pour your kheer in a bowl. Let it rest for some time.
Step 6: Then add 1/4tsp of cardamom powder for t extra flavour. With a unique and strong aroma, cardamoms add a mild fruity flavour in any dessert or rice-based kheer. Now chop a handful of cashews, almonds, raisins and garnish the kheer.
Pro tip – Once your yummy kheer is ready, switch off your electric kettle and keep it aside for some time. Now, wash the jar after use. Don’t let the traces stay for long. Use a mild dishwasher and a soft scrub pad to clean your electric kettle jar. After cleaning your kettle, dry it with a soft cloth.
