6 expert kitchen cleaning tips
Since your kitchen is the busiest space in your home, it’s bound to get dirty from time to time. And like many homemakers, you may look at kitchen cleaning as a tiring chore. However, keeping your kitchen clean doesn’t have to be tedious. You can follow these expert cleaning tips to keep your kitchen spick and span with just a little effort.
1) Use a vinegar-based cleaner for storage cabinets
Storage cabinets often get dirty with grime build-up. If you leave the stains uncleaned, they become stubborn to clean. Make it a routine to clean your kitchen’s cabinets every month to prevent grimes from sitting on the cabinet surface for too long. Vinegar-based cleaning solutions are perfect to clean greasy cabinet surfaces. Apply the cleaning solution on a soft cloth and wipe the cabinet surface. Use a cleaning brush with the vinegar solution to leave cabinet hardware looking shiny and new.

2) Clean sluggish drains the easy way
Sluggish drain pipes of the sinks not only clog water but also give off a foul smell. Clean them the easy way using baking soda and vinegar. Pour half a cup of baking soda and white vinegar and let it stay on the drain pipe for 3 to 5 minutes.
The next step is to flush the drain pipe with half a bowl of hot water. To get rid of the foul smell,
you can squeeze lemon drops into the drain pipe. Pouring a half cup of a lemon-scented solution is another good option.
3) Use salt to clean food burns on your cooktop
To prevent the food burns from becoming stubborn to remove, sprinkle a handful of salt on the mess. You can mix cinnamon with the salt to fight the odour that comes with the food burns. Use a non-abrasive cleaning cloth/sponge with a mild cleaning solution to wipe off the food burns from your cooktop.
4) Mix vinegar with water to clean your fruit juicer
Fruit juicers, if left uncleaned, can start giving off a foul smell. To clean your fruit juicer the easy way, mix 1 teaspoon of vinegar with 2 cups of water and pour it into the mixing bay of the appliance. Run the juicer for 1 to 2 minutes to make sure all the fruit deposits are washed away. Repeat the step using just clean water.
5) Clean your kitchen’s floor with a mop and bucket
To keep your kitchen’s floor clean, you don’t necessarily have to go the traditional way of using a mop and a bucket. Instead, use a damp microfiber cloth. Whether you have a tiled, wooden, or linoleum floor in your kitchen, you can use a damp microfiber cloth to get rid of the everyday spills and other mess. Just remember to rinse the microfibre cloth in the sink when using it.
