1. Chicken Biryani: It is one comfort food that everyone loves. Wash basmati rice properly and soak it in water for an hour or so. Marinate the chicken with curd and biryani masala, keep it aside for 30 minutes. Now, place an induction base pan on the induction cooktop and heat ghee. Add sliced onions, ginger-garlic paste, and sauté it till the onions turn golden brown. Add the marinated chicken and sauté it for 3-4 minutes. Now, add turmeric, cinnamon, coriander powder, green chillies, red chilli powder, and salt to taste. Add all the ingredients and cook for 5-6 minutes. Now place an induction base handi on the cooktop and add ghee. Add one layer of soaked rice when the ghee is hot. Then add a layer of cooked chicken on it. Repeat these layers and put 2 tbsp of saffron water on the top. Now, cover it for another 15 minutes. Your tasty chicken biryani is ready!
2. Cumin Rice or Jeera Rice: Cumin rice is the easiest and fastest thing to make on an induction cooktop. Wash the rice thoroughly. If you use Basmati or fine Dehradun rice, soak it for 30 mins in water before proceeding with the cooking process. In an induction base pan, heat ghee and add cumin seeds in it. Saute the ingredients until they turn golden brown. Remove the pan. Now transfer the soaked rice to an induction base handi and add enough water to cook the rice. Place it on the induction cooker. Once the rice is semi-cooked, dunk the already prepared cumin seeds into the half-cooked rice and water mixture, add salt gradually. Cook until the rice is boiled. Stir with a spoon, add ghee, and serve hot with a side dish of your choice.
3. Pulao: The basic Indian style rice pilaf or pulao that is delicious, aromatic, healthy, and most importantly, super easy to make. With your basic pantry ingredients, you can make this delicious rice meal using an induction cooktop. Rinse the rice until the water runs clear. Soak the rice and set aside for at least 20 minutes. Meanwhile, add 2 tbsp ghee in an induction base handi and add whole spices, bay leaves, cloves, cinnamon, jeera, cardamom, and star anise. Once they start emitting an aroma, add thinly sliced onions. Add 1-2 slit green chillies and 2 tsp ginger-garlic paste once the onions turn translucent. Saute well and add veggies of your choice, with chopped mint leaves. Pour water, add the soaked rice, and cover it for some time. Gently mix the rice with a spatula, garnish with cherries or coriander leaves and serve hot.
4. Rice Kheer: Craving for sweets? Then make this easy rice kheer with a few simple steps! Boil half a litre of milk in an induction milk pan and add 1 small cup of cooked rice. Keep the induction function as ‘boil milk’ and keep stirring at low flame. After a few minutes increase the temperature and add dry fruits and sugar. Now keep stirring for 5-6 minutes until the dry fruits turn soft. Garnish with saffron, almond, and serve hot.
